Preparing your First Visit
Your first visit will be for examination and review of your current dental health. The dentist will evaluate your dental health and will chart a dental treatment plan for you. During the first appointment, x-rays will be taken of all your teeth, and treatment recommendations will be given to you. At the end of the appointment, our front desk will be able to schedule any more appointments if needed.
To avoid and unnecessary delays on your appointment, please have the following available:
-
Your referral slip and any X-rays if applicable.
-
A list of medications you are presently taking.
-
If you have dental insurance, bring your card. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics, for pre-med.)

X-Rays
If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 6-months), you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
Please Note: If you are unable to make it to the appointment, please call the office 24 hrs prior to the appointment
We understand Dental visits can be very stressful for some of us.
How can these visits be anxiety free and pain-free?
Many of us visit the dentist for a regular 6 months cleaning and many of us do not. We call on the dentist only when something in the mouth hurts. To make your visit to the dentist stress and anxiety free, the first step is to be on top of your dental health. Make sure you visit our office every 6 months to get your teeth cleaned and your mouth examined for any developing cavities or issues.
Our dental office staff is very patient and will assist you during your treatment. Any questions you have regarding the procedure, please feel free to talk to the doctor. We want you to be as informed as possible so that you are aware of the procedure and feel comfortable about it. Please discuss any special health-related issues that you may have so that we can make you feel comfortable. Your comfort and your dental health are our topmost priority.
To reduce your anxiety, we do provide you an option to take nitrous oxide depending on your health condition. To provide you with a pain-free experience, we use numbing medicine for all procedures. We will also numb your gums while deep teeth cleaning so that you do not feel any pain.
